About Jess
Hello. My name is Jess and I like to make you smile!
I’ve been making things, collecting ideas, and chasing color for as long as I can remember. I’m deeply devoted to doodling, hats, coffee, bright colors, and laughter. When I was five, I asked Santa for a giant box of crayons and 100 pounds of paper—and Santa delivered. I’ve been creating ever since.
I migrated from Alaska to Mitchell where I live with my husband, J, and our beloved dogs. My sister and I run Happy Place/Space together; a home for joyful, handmade work and bright little moments meant to lift your day.
When I’m not creating, you’ll usually find me listening to true crime podcasts, dreaming about travel (especially Greenland), or making something colorful while coffee keeps me company. I’m an Aquarius, a former college volleyball player, and someone who believes small joys matter a lot.
Thank you for being here and supporting our work at Happy Place/Space.
